Weddings
The first person I booked to work on our Love Party was Tess Follett. There was no questions who would be our photographer. She's hard working, very talented an has and incredible knack of knowing what people want. I knew we were in a safe pair of hands. When the day came she was friendly, happy, unobtrusive and constantly on the look out for that special spot or magical moment.
Then the photos came through and my mind was blown, my heart broke open and I burst into tears. They were beyond beautiful. It is no exaggeration to say it was the best money we have ever spent. Ever. On anything.
Tess exceeded my high expectations and she will never truly know, despite how many times I tell her how incredibly grateful I am for the superb work and care. She captured our beautiful day when we were busy living it. And we have the photos forever. Cannot recommend highly enough. She's very hard working but above all a gifted artist.

Tess is so incredibly talented and an absolute pleasure to work with. I cried the first time I saw the slideshow Tess prepared for us, the shots were so incredible!! I don’t consider myself a natural in front of the camera and was quite nervous about the wedding photos, but not only did we have an absolute blast with Tess on the day, the result was seriously beyond what I could have ever hoped for. We knew from the moment we got engaged that we wanted a specific type of photographer. We wanted someone who would help us relax on the day, capture our event as the day unfolded and wasn't in our faces asking for another 'cheesy' smile. Tess captured our day perfectly and made us feel relaxed and natural during photos, she had this amazing ability to fit in seamlessly with proceedings and we didn't feel like we were being pulled away from our guests at all. Tess was an absolute superstar! From our first meeting with her, we felt like we were old friends and knew immediately that she was the photographer for us. She is such a natural, both behind the camera and in front of it, which made us feel so at ease. Some of our favourite photos are the candid ones Tess took of our guests enjoying special moments together, many of whom have since commented that they didn't even notice that she was there. Tess was also so wonderful with our flower girls, making them giggle just at the right moment (who knew knowing the words to Wiggles songs is so useful?!) and it made getting the family shots a breeze.
In short, the photos Tess took of us, our family and friends express exactly how we felt on the day in a candid and effortless way and we couldn’t love them more. Thanks again, Tess for giving us memories that will last a lifetime!

After having Tess photograph our wedding it was a no brainer that when we had our son Charlie, we opted for Tess. Not only is she exceptionally talented but she is such a breath of fresh air to be around. After all the nerves and hype that came with our wedding day it was so nice to then pretty much have the exact opposite with our family shoot. It was like having an old friend come to our home for a catch up....with a camera. My favourite thing about Tess is that you can tell she genuinely loves what she does and has this beautiful warmth and happiness that really translates into what she creates. We can’t wait to have Tess back for future family photos.

As a marriage celebrant, I've had the pleasure of working with Tess at weddings for a number of years now. I've witnessed the way she interacts with everyone she meets and have always been impressed by her warmth, flexibility and talent for identifying little moments of significance that may otherwise go unseen. Her images are timeless and convey so many feelings in a single frame.
It was, therefore, an easy decision to book Tess to capture some family photos for us after the birth of our second child. As we drank coffee, read books and played, Tess captured us living life as a family. Whether it was our energetic three-year-old bouncing around the living room or our newborn son sleeping soundly in a blanket made by his grandmother, Tess found the beauty in the everyday. It was relaxed, enjoyable and authentic, with no staged shots or cheesy posing.
Tess's talent at drawing out the best in kids also shouldn't be underestimated. The day after our photoshoot, my three-year-old started asking when her 'new friend Tess' could 'come to play again'!
Thank you, Tess, for your work and your warmth. You made the experience a pleasure and have given us wonderful memories to keep of this special, all too short time. Last year we had the delightful experience of Tess coming to our home in Macedon and taking some wonderful family photos for us. Her patience and sense of fun made it easy for our two younger kids while her sense of humour and easy-going manner ensured our teenage son also had a great time (no easy feat with a 15 year old). We love the photos she took and it was an absolute pleasure to have her come to our home and capture us in our element!
