FAQ Weddings
How do we enquire?
Please send an email to me@tessfollett.com or fill in the contact form on my website. If I am available on your date and you would like to discuss further, let’s organise a time to catch up over zoom.
How long will you be there on our wedding day?
My packages start at 3hours. The maximum coverage I am available for is 10 hours. This gives you the option to have me capture just your ceremony and portraits OR capture your entire day from start to finish.
How long should we leave for photographs after the ceremony?
Around 45 minutes to 1 hour is ideal. I find its best to keep things simple by staying close to your wedding location.
Do you work with a second shooter?
I shoot about 90% of my weddings solo. My packages don’t include a second shooter, however if you have over 150 people and the timings are tight or if you are getting ready at opposite ends of the city I can offer a second shooter for you. Please contact me for full details and rates.
Do we feed you?
If I’m photographing for over 5 hours, yes please. It would also be great to eat at the same time as you, so I don’t miss any speeches or dancing if I’m away from the main room.
Do you travel?
Yes… I sure do. I love travelling to new locations. Travel and accommodation are the only costs that will vary from client to client. I will always do my best to keep the costs as economical as possible. Each wedding is unique so please contact me for a specific quote.
How will we receive our photos and how long does it take?
My turnaround is around 6-8 weeks. You will receive an online slideshow sent via email first, followed by your online gallery, frame and prints beautifully packaged and sent via post. How many images you receive will depend on the coverage but an 8hour wedding would range from 600-700 images in total.
Do you offer weddings albums?
Most definitely! There is something tangible and special about seeing your images in print. I offer 10x10inch fine art albums with your choice of fabric or leather cover. These quality art books include up to 100 images chosen by you. I encourage couples to treat their album as a gorgeous coffee table book. Keep it within reach, revisit it, share it with friends and family - don’t just leave your photos on your hard drives!
Do you retouch our photos?
All my photos are professionally edited to the highest quality for print. I do not whiten, retouch skin or make people look skinnier. I would like the photos to look as natural as possible. That said, if you get a pimple on the day of your wedding, talk to me because I would be happy to edit out on those close-up photographs.
Do you have insurance and public liability?
Yes and yes.
Do you have any amazing vendors you like to work alongside of:
Sure do! I have a lovingly curated Little Black Book of incredible venues, florists, celebrants, designers, musicians and videographers that I would be delighted to share with you and can personally recommend having worked with them myself. They are the best of the best!
How do we book you for our weddings?
To start with, please fill in the contact form below, with the date and location of your wedding, as well as any other details that you would like to discuss. If I’m available, it would be great to catch up over skype or in person, and if you like what you see and want to make it official, I require a deposit of $1000 to lock in your date and confirm your booking. This deposit is non refundable.
How far ahead do I have to book?
I reccommend 12months out from your wedding date. From 2024, I will be only taking on a handful of Saturday weddings.
